An 11th grader at Oberoi International School, Mumbai, Aadhya Mavani co-organized Myna’s first ever Mynathon – a virtual marathon aimed toward alleviating the stigma surrounding menstruation in India and, in turn, promoting physical exercise during the pandemic-induced lockdown. A strong women empowerment advocate, she began her journey with Myna as a volunteer, helping publicize Myna’s annual Myna Speaks event.

After witnessing Mynathon’s success this year, she believes in the event’s potential, hoping to bring thousands of people from around the world together in support of menstrual hygiene.

When she isn’t studying, you would find her playing intense card games with her friends and family or practicing Kathak for hours on end.
